In remote communities, access to laundry services can be limited and cost prohibitive. Aurukun is a coastal shire in Far North Queensland, 800 kilometres north west of Cairns. Orange Sky’s Aurukun service works alongside the community to build impact through free laundry, local employment and local partnerships. Designed for rugged conditions, it features three washers and Waru Dryers and uses advanced solar technology to cut electrical use by up to 80%, enhancing service reach effectively.
