Senior Leadership Team Meet the Senior Leadership Team bringing a wealth of experience to Orange Sky, shaping the organisation's direction and impact. We have an ambitious goal to double our impact by 2030. Orange Sky’s Senior Leadership Team are responsible for shaping our goals and ensuring that we achieve them. Together, they bring experience and skills from a number of different sectors, to lead our team towards our mission of positively connecting communities. Our Leaders Lucas Patchett OAM Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer As one of the co-founders of Orange Sky in 2014, the mission and purpose that Orange Sky has is very close to Lucas’ heart. Lucas became the Chief Executive Officer of Orange Sky in 2019. Lucas was awarded the 2016 Young Australian of the Year. In 2020 he became an Order of Australia Medallist and in 2023, Lucas received a Churchill Fellowship. Lucas is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has been a board member for QLD Health's Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service since 2021. Lucas's LinkedIn Emma Young CPA Director of People & Finance After starting as a volunteer with Orange Sky in 2016, Emma quickly transitioned into the role of Director of People & Finance and played a pivotal part in setting up Orange Sky New Zealand. In May 2020, Emma moved back into a purely volunteer role, however, returned in early 2023 as the Chief Corporate Services Officer. Emma holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of CPA Australia. Emma's LinkedIn Tenille Koeter Director of Fundraising & Partnerships Tenille began her senior leadership role with Orange Sky in 2024 on a maternity cover contract leading the Fundraising & Marketing department she then joined the team in a permanent capacity leading this newly formed department. She is a skilled Senior Fundraising Manager, with over 18 years of experience working in the for-purpose, health and tourism sectors. Tenille holds a Bachelor of Business, Double Major in Marketing and Events Management. She has also been Director and board member of Cherish Women’s Cancer Foundation since 2020. Tenille's LinkedIn Shayne Herriott Director of Operations Shayne’s first interaction with Orange Sky was volunteering to help to forge our first five year strategic plan in late 2019. In 2021, Shayne joined as a Senior Manager - Innovation, providing strategy, innovation and transformation support to the Orange Sky team. He has since transitioned to Chief Operations Officer in July 2023, where he leads the ongoing management of strategic growth and impact of our services and management of our 4500 volunteers. Shayne was previously a Senior Manager at Deloitte and holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Economics. Shayne's LinkedIn Laura Stokes Director of Marketing & Transformation Laura joined Orange Sky leading the fundraising and marketing department from 2019-25. During this time she turned the organisation from a $4.6m to a $14.7m not-for-profit organisation with a strong and reputable brand. In 2025, Laura took on a new challenge leading the organisation's newly formed marketing and transformation department. Driving the strategic projects needed for our next ambitious 5 years of growth. Laura has 20 years experience working across the commercial and for-purpose sectors across; Microsoft, Virgin and the University sector.
