Asset Leader Support a local vehicle or laundry pod, and lend a hand with transportation and maintenance. Mechanical knowledge is not a requirement for this role. Apply Now Service Coordinator Support 3-4 Team Leaders, and monitor and coordinate shift and incident reports. Apply Now Service Leader Support local Team Leaders and Service Coordinators in a service, as well as manage relationships with volunteers, service partners and the Orange Sky team. Apply Now Community Engagement Coordinator Create a quarterly newsletter for volunteers, run volunteer events per year and engage with the local community. Apply Now FAQs from volunteers How much of my time is needed? We ask for a minimum commitment of 2-4 hours, on a weekly or fortnightly basis. Do I need to be physically fit? While you don’t need to be super fit to volunteer on an Orange Sky shift, it can be a physically demanding role with a high degree of bending and lifting. You need to be able to carry items (approx. 15-20kg). Do I need to be over 18 years old? Yes, you need to be over 18 years old to volunteer. How long does the application process take? Once you submit your application, it will only take a few days for our team to review and approve your application. Then you can apply to join a shift! How long before I can get onto a shift and start helping people? Depending on where you are located, there may be a waitlist of people just like you who are excited to get out helping their community! To fast-track your way onto shift, we recommend checking our Locations Page and searching for a shift that is labelled ‘Priority’. What type of training is provided? All volunteers are required to complete an online training module which includes instructions for operating a laundry and/or shower shift, and a guide to safety and support on shift. Once completed, volunteers will undertake on-shift training with their Team Leader, to ensure that they feel confident on shift. All volunteers have access to our Support Team during shift for any questions regarding the shift or general operation. Do I need to complete a background check? We have different requirements, which are state or territory dependent, or related to where you are located. Contact Us Other ways to support us...
